Collage, 4" x 6"

Collage, 3-1/2" x 7"

  1. I think these are stronger than others because of the way you are adding things to the balls, drawing lines across them, putting dots on them. When the balls stick out from the background and are left completely unmodified, whether or not the composition is going to feel unified or not is completely contingent upon color relationships. By drawing or sticking things on the balls they become more integrated with whatever painterly or drawing or collage activity you have going on in the background plane.

  2. These are crossing sensory lines. Visual taste buds.

  3. Wow. I'd better end my career right now.
