I have felt that about some of the other collages too, a tension between an element or elements pulling forward and the pattern or background pulling it/them "back" or into an integrated field, but this is the first one I've seen where there is a sentient being depicted ... drowning or emerging or just coming out to offer a flailing embrace ...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
